Event	Children's Day Parade
Date	January 22nd
Time	4:30pm
Location	Float # 117 close to the intersection of Wallcraft (sp?) and Bayshore Blvd
Parade Details	The parade will start at Bayshore and Bay to Bay and finish at Bayshore and Howard. There is going to be an addition to this parade this year. The normal Children's parade starts at 4:30pm. At 2:00 pm there will be a Gasparilla Pre-Schooler's Stroll. This is for participants ages 5 and under. The children may walk, march, ride or participate in a decorated stroller or wagon. The 1/2 mile parade begins at Bay to Bay and Bayshore and ends at Howard Ave.
Additional information	This year CBCD in addition to the children of crewe members and their invited guest, we will also be hosting children from Sailability. If you would like to help make it a special day for the kids from Sailability please contact Mark Mitchell The organizers of this event have made a  serious request that all krewe members are aware of the following rules for this parade: 1. No beads are to be thrown or given out prior to the start of the parade! Please do not hand out or throw any beads to spectators as you are working your way to the float or waiting for the parade to start 2. All krewe members and their guest should keep safety in mind throughout the parade. All participants are asked to either hand beads directly to the children or to throw them underhand (like a softball). DO NOT THROW BEADS OVERHAND (like a baseball)! Krewes observed by the organizers not following these rules may not be invited to participate in following  year's parade. This would be a bad thing. While I am sure everyone keeps safety in mind during all of the parades, this is one to be especially careful in.

New Guest Policies	Regarding the safety of our younger guest and the enjoyment of everyone participating, please adhere to the following ratios: 1. children ages 4 and under: 1 child/ 1 adult children ages 5 and older: 2 children/ 1 adult 2. This is the Children's Day Parade so it is requested that invited guests of crewe members be limited to children and their parents. 3. To try to match the colors of CBCD, It is asked that all children wear Khaki pants and either Red, White or Blue shirts or a combination of any of  those colors. 3. Guests are the responsibility of the hosting crewe member. It is that member's job to make sure their guests understand and adhere to both the rules of the parade as well as policies of the crewe.  4. All guests of the Crewe must complete the appropriate Release forms and waivers and submit them to the crewe prior to the parade. POC is Trista Snook and forms are available from this page. To be fair to parade viewers, we are asking all parade participants not to throw beads or giveaways prior to Bay to Bay and Bayshore Blvd. This is the official Start of the parade. ANY UNITS DISTRIBUTING ANY BEADS OR GIVEAWAYS PRIOR TO BAY TO BAY WILL NOT BE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN FUTURE YEARS.(this is the official statement from the parade organizers)
